I recently had the great opportunity to speak at the Clean Up Badagry Initiative, which is centered around the theme "Girls on the Frontline of Change Initiative." This event seeks to empower young women in our community, bringing attention to the critical roles they can play in driving social change.
In my keynote address, I focused on the important intersection of technology, financial literacy, and bold leadership as essential tools that shape the next generation of female changemakers. Drawing from my own experiences, I was able to showcase how effective integration of technology in our daily lives has not only accelerated personal growth but has also opened avenues for leadership and financial independence among women.
I believe it is important for young girls to rise to this challenge, enhancing their participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. Embracing technology is not merely about understanding tools; it encompasses adopting a mindset that empowers one to leverage these tools for innovative solutions.
I spoke also on the significance of financial literacy as a foundational element of empowerment. Knowledge of financial principles equips young women to make informed decisions about their economic future. Coupling this understanding with leadership training prepares them to take initiative and advocate for positive change in their communities.
I want a brave new world, where girls claim their rightful place on the frontline of societal transformation, and i hope i inspired young girls to dream of doing this.
My team and I got details of attendees to consider joining Hertunbi, which will serve/help mentor young girls, fostering both knowledge and confidence.
By sharing experiences and providing resources and guidance, we can build a large network of aspiring female leaders, ensuring that no girl is left behind on her journey toward making an impact.
